Excelent screenwriter with very good photography of both cities. It is a very nice summary between the smal differences in life style from cariocas and paulistanos .
Well done film that is partially a romantic comedy, partiallly a drama. It is well directed and very well acted. The constrasts between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo are explored both in fragrant gags and in subtle details, and, despite some unavoidable stereotype, the traits are very close to reality. Characters are well developped and their love affair, although very prompt, was convincing (good acting and hot scenes!). Not a prize-winning movie, but deffinitely worth watching and cute.
I think it's similar to what you have in the same genre in the United States, but the fact that it is lived in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro made the story somewhat special. The phrases, the places, the outlook on life and how to behave in each are in fact something that belongs to these two cities, which makes it a very striking film.
I also didn't feel situations were sketched: they were vivid and made sense, something that could happen in real life for any of us in the same position. Living in these cities for the last five years, the movie was very close to my reality.
Highly recommended.
