I felt like the film was raw and real. Foreboding trouble down the road.... is much worse than the the current situation. Characters were true to life, existing with multiple layers, and raising natural emotion. As the timeline of events unfolded; intensity increased dramatically. Overall, through the intertwining of stories and relationship entanglement, Crosby wanted to prove in his story that even black love, however possibly dangerous, still endures.
There is great storytelling and critical attention paid to detail. "Confused by Love" is story of black love..eventful and climatic generating delectable appeal. This film was accompanied by great score and the soothing music by emerging artist, Marwan Soulflow.

Charming characters, perfect casting, delivering a beautiful story with meaning and talent. "Confused by Love" presents a reality predicament most anyone can relate even if you're not in the entertainment business. Young married couples struggling to live the American dream and maintain financial stability without missing up the marriage. Whether in bad economy or good that's the R and B of life. Actor Keith Mascoll, as Ferguson, has such a warm and personable soul that make that situation so real and funny at the right moment. Supporting actors Simba Dibinga, as Fergie's old friend Reggie Maxwell, Jamie Perez as Tiffany Marie Middlebecker, Fergie's wife and Jordan Lloyd as Joline 'Jo Jo' Thompson, as Reggie's girlfriend, all key performances in the execution of this insightful chapter of life.

Full disclosure. My girlfriend chose this movie, so I went into it thinking I would politely be watching it to make her happy. Joke was on me. Loved it! Hilarouis character study. Solid performances - some better than others, but more than adequate for indie. Great writing and director Crosby Tatum keeps things moving and, thus, keeps you watching. We both literally never went more than 10 minutes without laughing out loud ... always a good sign.

"Confused By Love" is a honest depiction of married life, written, directed, and produced by Crosby Tatum. Ferguson Middlebecker (Keith Mascoll) is a shy, sweet, conservative book writer waiting for a big break. Tiffany (Jamie Perez), Ferguson's wife, is the exact opposite. She is a high maintenance, spendthrift radio personality who wants everything her way. The drama unfolds when Ferguson's old friend Reggie (Simba Dibinga) and his girlfriend Jo Jo (Jordan Lloyd) show up unexpectedly and become houseguests. A cesspool of old feelings and hurtful truths emerge as the result of the uninvited guests abide. Keith Mascoll delivered a heartfelt, stand out performance that gave viewers meaningful enlightenment on the spirit of forgiveness. Jamie Perez was outstanding in her portrayal of a selfish , spoiled wife. Tiffany was so believable that I and several audience members agreed that we wanted to choke her throughout the duration of the film! You can go ahead and laugh now, it's safe. Impeccable cinematography (Navid John Namazi) and an amazing film score(Ron Love) enticed my senses and provided a memorable example of black love.

"Confused"..starts by presenting us with a dilemma that many folks have gone through..and at any age. Ferguson.."don't call me Fergie" and Tiffany have what starts out as a storybook marriage, when they are presented with a challenge that brings a test for both partners. The story takes a nice twist when Reggie, a well meaning friend from college, drops by for a few days to help out but inadvertently creates more tension by bringing along Ferguson's old flame Jo Jo. The characters are very well thought out and the acting is true to the story bringing full blooded performances. Kudos to writer/director/producer/editor Crosby Tatum for taking the high road and bringing us a film that has a lot of heart, some touches of faith in God and in ourselves and presenting to us, the audience, a film that will stay on our minds for more than a few days.

CONFUSED BY LOVE is a heart-warming, really funny drama! I loved how funny this film was. But I really loved how it still dealt with social issues. Also Crosby Tatum is a very talented guy surrounded by very good performers. Other reviewers mentioned the indie budget restraints but I actually thought it made it feel more authentic. If you're looking to be entertained and a bit of social relevance, this film is a must-see!

Fun, funny and probably inspired by real life events, Crosby Tatum takes an interesting look at the complications of relationships, love, redemption and the dream couples share... or not! Fun entertainment!

Really enjoyable romantic comedy-drama. With an indie vibe, this film showed some realistic struggles that many can probably relate to, and reactions/interactions that legitimate behavior, even if it's not our best behavior, when dealing with major issues and adding emotions on top of that. While the characters faced serious situations, the mix of humor and dash of faith made this a fun ride.
