Lola, Dressage En Orgy

This is one Marc Dorcel release where the inevitable "Making of" short subject is useful in analyzing what one has just sat through.

We find that the Clapper Board title was merely Manuel Orgie 2, a followup to a many-directors orgy feature Ferrara had previously directed for Dorcel.

The French porno magnate sent his then-current superstar Lola Reve to L.A. to star for Ferrara, with a ton of local Chatsworth talent enlisted in basically non-speaking, all-humping group sex roles. One endless orgy takes up the bulk of the running time, and despite Ferrara's best efforts (he mans one of the two cameras in addition to starring), it is dull, repetitive and unarousing.

Lola masturbating in the shower, giving Manu a blow job and later humping him away from the orgy folk, and finally wandering solo and wistfully topless along a Malibu beach, is remote and mechanical throughout, just like the sexual content. Even that overworked Adult term of "chemistry" is absent, not that I wish to overstate its all- importance as interviewed porn talent is wont to do.

Manuel waxes eloquently during the "Making of" what he was trying to do, including writing a script (not surprisingly, uncredited) around guest talent Lola, but the result is empty. Having such a laundry list of top porno names on board turns out not to be a plus but rather accentuates the ho-hum content. It's staged at a cornball "swingers' private party" but cryptically only Lola wears a mask among the XXX revelers.
