The film was supposed to be shown in 150 movie theaters, but due to many threats that the team and the director received the film was shown only in 60 movie theaters.
The movie was shot the same way as Mesrine films, back in 2008. The director began by shooting the end, asking his lead character Alban Lenoir to lose weight all long the production of the film, so that he is shown lean for showing his youngest years.
The director was inspired by the infamous case of Clément Méric. Méric was a French teenager who died in June 2013 after being beaten to death by a group of nationalists.
