The story and screenplay for REPLICAS was developed at Keanu Reeves and Stephen Hamel's production company Company Films. Hamel writes the majority of all the stories produced there.
Filmed in August 2016, but not released in the United States until January 2019.
This is one of two films Keanu Reeves did because Nicolas Cage turned down the main role. The other film was Siberia (2018).
The personal affectation on William's desk is from his daughter Zoe. It is a shape (unicorn) which represents eternal life.
