Babygirl will cheekily be released in theaters just in time for Christmas viewings, giving it a December 25 release date.

Beloved character actor John Ashton has died at the age of 76, it has been confirmed. The prolific star of stage and screen, who made memorable turns in the likes of the Beverly Hills Cop franchise and Midnight Run during a career that spanned over half a century, passed away on Thursday in Fort Collins, Colorado after a short battle with cancer.

News of Ashton's passing was shared by a rep of the actor, who issued the following statement: “John was a loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. John leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service. His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, children, grandchildren, as well as his brother, sisters, his extended family and all who loved him. John’s impact on the world will be remembered and celebrated for generations to come.”

“Bodies Bodies Bodies” filmmaker Halina Reijn is writing and directing the movie, which examines power dynamics and sexuality in the workplace. It tells the story of a powerful CEO (Kidman) who begins an illicit affair with a much younger, charismatic intern (Harris Dickinson).

Banderas is playing the husband of Kidman’s character, while Sophie Wilde (“Talk to Me”) is portraying the assistant who watches the rendezvous go down. Jean Reno (“The Big Blue”) rounds out the cast as a rival business executive. It’s scheduled to film this December in New York.

“Babygirl” marks the second collaboration between A24 and Reijn after her 2022 satirical slasher “Bodies Bodies Bodies,” an indie box office winner starring Amandla Stenberg, Maria Bakalova, Rachel Sennott and Pete Davidson. A24 also acquired Reijn’s directorial debut, “Instinct.”

In the project, Murray played a man who receives a mysterious letter claiming he has a son he’s never met. Afterwards, Murray’s character retraces his steps back towards his ex-girlfriends to see who’s likeliest to be the mother of his child.

Stone portrayed one of Murray’s flings in the picture. And speaking to Cinema, Jarmusch confided that Stone conceived a lot of the ideas when interacting with her co-star.

Exclusive: Revenge actress Madeleine Stowe and Daredevil‘s Stephen Rider have joined Andy and Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs’ Max Original series, Welcome to Derry (working title), which is a prequel to New Line’s hit Stephen King film franchise, It.

Stowe will have a recurring guest role while Rider is a series regular. Their parts are being kept under wraps in the series which expands on King’s It universe, particularly that laid out in Andy Muschietti’s It movies. He’ll direct several episodes in the series including the first.

The duo join previously announced cast members Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, and James Remar.
