The movie was originally set to release in 2015, but due to alleged plagiarism controversies, the movie was shelved. A few years later Netflix bought the worldwide rights to the film and released it on their digital platform in 2018.

Jennifer & Kunal in Phir Se

Movie, as it is, is a narrative movie. Revolves around a wedding setting. To tell the truth, it is too narrative. Even conversation between artists seems like they are reading from a book with zero expression on their faces. Samona who is a renowned comedian had a flat face. Jennifer is award winner in TV series as best actress has performed disappointingly. Kunal Kohli minced his words throughout the movie. The failure of the movie will effect mostly Jennifer's future in film-line, that's what concerns me, as she is my favorite.
