Originally written as part of a stage play, the character of Mary was barely showing in her pregnancy. When converted to a short film, the actress cast was eight and a half months along, and dialogue needed to be amended to reflect this. The actress gave birth to a baby girl, weeks after production wrapped, and before the analogy would have its premiere.
