Most of the recent mexican movies tend to be really dissapointing or just really bad. But however, 'Prometo no enamorarme' turned out to be probably the most decent mexican film I've seen during the whole year.
The plot is simple and the members of the cast are very few, but actually that is one of the main reasons why this movie is really well done. Because it's more focused on quality rather than quantity and that is something that every filmmaker has to take into account, particularily the mexican ones. The script is really well written, heart-warming, funny, and sad at times.
I loved the main caracteres. Both of the protagonists did a very good job and they look really good together. I liked a lot Natalia Varela as well as Alfonso Dosal, who I've seen in more movies before this one and I think that he always does a very good job.
Overall, the only reasons why not recommending this are only if you're a really impatient person and the confusing ending (which is the only motive for which I gave it an 8). Appart from that, I really recommend you guys to check it out.
