This is the first Mexican film that shows the Iztaccíhuatl volcano glaciers. As a mountain film, it could be qualified as the first Mexican feature in the genere.
Agua Blanca was shot during a 3 year process which included a hard mountain training for all the cast and crew that participated on the project.
