Review of Jesus

Jesus (2024)
rich poetry of language
21 June 2024
I suppose , a kind of revelation. Sure, at first sight, a version of Jesus life and teachings in ASL, profound useful for a large Christian audience . But, after many films about The Savior, this film is one very special . At the first sight, for the use only of sign language being, in theory, a film for deafs. For beautiful work of Gideon Firl as Jesus, reminding, in some measure , Enrique Irazoqui in The Gospel according to St. Matthew by Pier Paolo Passolini. Or for technical solutions for some Biblical episodes. For dedication, obvious for entire team , in same measure, like for great feeling to see something like the build of cathedral.

In fact, for the poetry of language, touching, profound, offering new profound meanings to familiar words of Jesus.

In short, a film who can be useful, in profound way, maybe more for non deaf audience. An experience, real special, no doubts. Not last, as person interested by movies representing The Savior, I believe than the film of Joseph Josselyn is one of remarkable ones.
