Chasing Ghosts (I) (2014)
10/10
A beautiful film. True to life experiences. From childhood and parenting.

I did not know what this film would be like. I had nothing to go by. For starters, this is a beautiful film. I highly recommend it. It can have some triggers if you have experienced the loss of a loved one recently. But over time, when the time is right, it puts things in perspective and is worth watching. It is dramatic, and exemplifies how life experiences can affect everyone, including parents and caregivers who try to get through and understand life experiences, while trying to parent, not always realizing how their own behaviors and ability to cope with loss and life experiences, can impact their child or children. All the time, while the parents are coping, the child is growing, maturing, learning, and having to learn to cope as well. This film shows the difficulty of loss and trying to move on but have difficulty and are often stuck in time. The film is not predictable and will keep your attention as if you are within the plot. It is cute, but yet sad. Happiness and difficulty. Sparkling and mischievous, but then very dramatic parts. It wraps up the storyline with real-life experiences in a way that helps one cope with loss and move on with those of loss to be within us while we live. It exemplifies not trying to always understand but to understand the importance of living life in the moment. I highly recommend this film.
