Just finally watched this yesterday. As a huge fan of Kids in the Hall during my university years I had high hopes for this and it exceeded my expectations. Given the premise I was expecting at least some predictable jokes and storyline but it was actually kinda adorable- making the guy characters actually feel sweet and likeable. Shane as Trent stood out to me as a highlight, and the last scene was unexpected and pretty amazing. I enjoyed hearing about the process of making it on the Best Hang podcast. Despite all the challenges of filming it, the film comes across as being effortlessly executed in the end. I will definitely check out the Dessert now.
