Over a decade after Law and Order: Los Angeles debuted to mixed reviews, I'm now watching it for the first time and I really think this series could have been a contender. I know some of the initial imdb user reviews were scathing (and a snapshop in leisure time with references to Tivo!) and perhaps the structure of the Los Angeles incarnation was jarring to some, for example the rotating district attorneys and deputy district attorneys was a bit unsettling somewhat, and also Peter Coyote was akin to Sam Waterston's pained characteristics when wrestling with ethics and justice.
Anyway, Law and Order: Los Angeles should have been a contender.
