Ive been a fan of the movies for a very long time. I own the whole series and find the movies to be genuinely disturbing and frightening. Granted, I'm not a hard-core horror fan, but do enjoy a good scare. Therefore, the insidious franchise is still entertaining, but doesn't have all the blood and guts of you're common slasher film. Further, in regards to the whole series, I felt like this movie was not as intense as some of the other ones, and also lacks some of the more disturbing tones from other stories. However, having said that, it still provided some genuinely scary parts, and also had intense moments. Do I think it's the best in the series? No. Most sequels aren't and this is the fifth in the series. However, it does a good job of closing off the series, and overall is a very enjoyable movie. I feel the movie deserves at least six stars, if not more. I also think it is more than capable of standing its ground with the other movies and is a great installment. Hats off to Patrick Wilson's directorial debut.
