Two-part television thriller with Gudrun Landgrebe and Nathaniel Parker

In the 1990s, German television was still good for some positive surprises. In November 1994, ARD gave the interested audience this erotically charged thriller by Adolf Winkelmann.

The artist Inga (Gudrun Landgrebe) is on the motorway near Hanover when a plane crashes right next to her. Apparently no one survived this crash. Without hesitation, she takes a young man (Nathaniel Parker) with her in her car, who introduces himself to her as "No Man" and who has apparently escaped the inferno. Inga takes him to her holiday home in Biarritz in the south of France, where she spends a few lovely days with the well-built handsome boy. But slowly she begins to have doubts about what is really going on with her omnipotent chance acquaintance. Especially since her wayward daughter Laura (Janna Marangosoff), who has since let the gorgeous guy make her happy, has suddenly disappeared. In Barcelona, Inga hopes to finally find answers...

A believable plot? None! And yet this very special two-parter was so unusual that it remained in the memory. There was a great spark between the two stars Gudrun Landgrebe (The Flambéed Woman) and Nathaniel Parker (Sargasso Sea, later he would get his start as "Inspector Lynley"), both of whom are well-versed in erotic drama. There's also a plot about international terrorism and contract murder - something like that was no longer known in German-speaking countries, which are unaccustomed to the genre. Very fascinating!

In the Barcelona part of the plot there was a reunion with the enchanting Mapi Galan, who had been there three years earlier in the TV experiment "Murderous Decision" by ACADEMY AWARD nominee Oliver Hirschbiegel.
