After watching each episode, I remain stunned.
First of all, I like working with special effects and dynamic editing. Shots of battles, scenes with dialogues... The scenes of violence are quite bloodthirsty and look expensive. I haven't seen such a good montage for a long time, it keeps attention and creates a wow effect.. Cool gluing! Looks pretty solid!
Secondly, I rejoice in familiar things that were characteristic of the USSR, although I was born after its collapse and I cannot judge the era objectively, but only by the stories and what surrounded me. I want to mention the good work on the visual, the locations, the props are very good! I believe in this era, i.e. Styles and images.
Thirdly, I like the plot and the way the story develops. How we are introduced to this world of libraries and librarians. I like this unusual development about how books endow people with a psychoemotional state (books of rage, patience, power, strength, joy, memory, meaning)... I like to think that behind this idea is attention to what kind of power a person has. I want to think about how it would work in science fiction... For example, through the mechanics of empathy.. After all, the book really allows us to experience a rich range of emotions...
The fourth reason why I liked the first 2 episodes of this series is a pretty healthy psychological atmosphere inside the plot of the library, for which we are invited by the film crew to cheer! In general, freedom is quite valuable there, all members of the library believe in their work and at the same time they show us healthy leadership, when, for example, to participate in a battle, the leader uses to remind the main character of what is important for him. Or how the team acts together harmoniously. I feel that people are kind there. And even when they do something terrible, such as murder, or omit significant things, it looks like the characters are not perfect, but this is not malicious intent, but probably a lack of experience or time.
