Review of Furious Desires

This compilation contains 5 gay-themed short movies. The first ("The daytime doorman") is the least: a meagre story, combined with bad acting and an unnecessary abundance of nudity. But I was glad that I kept watching, because the others are far more rewarding. I liked "The tiger's fight", mostly because of its colorful presentation of this ancient public festivity in rural Mexico. And the story of "Loris" is a bit enigmatic, but young Andrea Arcangeli is absolutely fascinating. For me the # 1 of this box is the short "Xavier" by director Ricky Mastro, it's nearly perfect and an absolute little gem, in which we see how a loving and insightful father shows his little son, in an inconspicuous but endearing way, that he understands him and stands by his side.
