Ed Begley Jr., Mike C. Nelson, Jace Norman, Ariel Martin, and Samiyah Womack in Bixler High Private Eye (2019)

Review by SnoopyStyle

Bixler High Private Eye

6/10

"kids" movie

Xander DeWitt (Jace Norman) keeps getting into trouble after his father went missing. His mother sends him to live with his grandpa (Ed Begley Jr.) and attend Bixler Valley High. His search for his father also happens to lead to the same place, his father's home town Bixler Valley. Know-it-all student Kenzie Messina (Ariel Martin) is his new rival and partner.

This is a silly Nickelodeon movie. There is a quest. The mystery is semi-compelling. The 'kids' are fine. At least, they're still teenagers. It does have Ed Begley Jr. It's lower TV production. The writing is good for a kid's movie although it does border on supervillain plot. It's silly but that's expected.
