Have to admit, while I did watch "Nacktschnecken" for the first time recently, I did not know the movies were connected. At least that is what imdb is suggesting here. But even so, the time that has passed between the making of the two movies ... I do not think many were aware of this or thought about it. Think of it as a spiritual successor of sorts.
Having said that, the humor/comedy is I guess on the same page or similar. While the other one was more sexual (a lot more), I am talking about the themes. Also you might recognize some of the actors. Especially the one with the long blond hair - quite iconic and with a bigger part in this one than in the first movie. For better or worse I reckon.
If you like the Austrian sense of humor on display here, you may feel this is a lot better than I have rated it, but you may also find this quite annoying if not. Hotel business ain't an easy one - as is the business of comedy (movies). Still more than decent and well played from all involved, even if a bit detached and slow paced overall.
