Addie McPhail tells second husband Maurice Black that first husband Edgar Dearing is coming over to visit their bratty son. They quarrel, he leaves, Dearing shows up. Soon they are all quarantined in the apartment. Chaos ensues.
It's a good set-up, but the handling is fairly straightforward. There's a goodly amount of rising threatening by eventually unharmful violence offered, but the pacing is fairly stolid, and even the usually hilarious Murphy Bed that shows up isn't used to any comic effect.
