From a technical standpoint, this show was lovely, with nice scenery, cinematography, and gorgeous cast members. However, that's about the best I can say about it.
The plot was basically one huge, predictable cliche with paper thin, one dimensional characters, two of which managed to surpass even my normally high tolerance for annoying personalities (if you watch the show, I'll leave it to you to figure out which two they are).
In short, this film is all fluff with zero substance, which is a pity because it is so pretty otherwise. At episode 12 I couldn't bear any more and just skipped to the end.
ROMANCE RATING: * * * 6.5/10. I could have overlooked a lot of other flaws if the romance was juicy, but unfortunately, even that was mediocre. The two leads had acceptable chemistry onscreen, but none of their 3 kiss scenes felt believable to me. That goes double for their "growing attraction" scenes, which mostly just left me going "how the heck does he/she find that cute/appealing?" Unless you have a high tolerance for frustration, I really recommend looking elsewhere.
