Anastasia Martin in Heirs of the Night (2019)

Review by webjunk-62635

Heirs of the Night

8/10

Great Young Adult series

It is always a regret when those who wish to criticise, especially in an ignorant way (compare budgets between their comparisons for example), and are not bothered to read the IMDB page despite having to come to it to moan. This is a Dutch/Norwegian/German co-production and from the opening it is obvious, to those paying attention, that this is a young adult series (shown on Children's BBC - CBBC!!!!!!!!) which has had a large budget thrown at it. There are a lot of characters to get to grips with (that wasn't a problem in Game of Thrones) and the story moves along at a nice pace. The script and acting could be better but remember who the audience is. An engaging series well worth a watch. The background music can be irritating at times.

As an aside I wonder how it was shot e.g. for Norsemen on Netflix each scene was shot concurrently in Norwegian then in English.
