It's funny that the play opens up with the Swedish immigrant to Scania Berit Carlberg (Birgitta von Carping) hoisting the Scanian flag to celebrate her birthday. And the red and yellow cross flag remains raised over the play from start to finish. This would _NEVER_ be allowed on Swedish government television today! :-)
But like most of the Nils Poppe plays at Fredriksdal, there is never a real story climax or a payoff. The story just ends rather abruptly.
Why did Nils Poppe's plays at Fredriksdal almost every time end like this?
