Not a great movie by any means, but...

... Better than I was expecting. The set-up reminded me of the Keifer Sutherland movie Mirrors (2008) - burnt-out American ex-cop takes a seemingly routine job as a lone security guard in a large, apparently empty building, only to encounter paranormal goings-on. Jason London is looking a bit ragged physically (I HOPE it was for the part and that he's in a bit better shape), but was an okay lead. Robert Englund was just the right side of 'hammy, Gianni Capaldi's accent was all over the place, and Lorina Kamburova was gorgeous. Great set-up and intriguing middle, let down a little by the ending. Not that the idea for the ending was bad, but the pace seemed to slacken (it's a pretty slow movie anyway) and rob some scenes of their tension. Still, overall enjoyable (if not entirely original). As someone else said, I wouldn't might a sequel, or a prequel delving into the building's history. 6.5/10
