I absolutely recommend this film to people who love to laugh at bad movies - honestly, it's a good time over all, if you watch it as a comedy.
But when it comes down to it, in a nutshell this film has terrible acting, terrible writing, bad shot composition, cheap looking effects, and sound design that's so poor you often can't hear the actors speaking over the stock sound effects or cheesy score.
Character-wise, more and more keep getting introduced with no context, and there's never any real backstory for any of them, barring the bare bones relationship history we get for the lead and his wife. To give credit where credit's due, it was nice to have a leading character who was on the older side, rather than the typical flavour 20something college kids.
I liked how the entire movie was shot in broad daylight but there's a scene where a character leaves his tent to investigate a noise and makes a point to grab his torch/turn it on with the sun itself clearly in the shot. Beautiful.
1/10 as a general score, but I had to add at least one extra star for entertainment value alone.
