Pretty Bad "Lost" Sequel

Revenge of Lady Street Fighter (1990)

In 1981 director James Bryan released LADY STREET FIGHTER and at the very end of the film there was a credit saying that a sequel would follow. Well, for decades it was believed that there wasn't a sequel made but it turns out that Bryan made one in 1990 but it wouldn't get any sort of release until 2018.

This sequel borrows a lot of footage from the original movie and I'm not going lie by saying I have no idea what the story here is supposed to be. Basically the film starts off with a woman being killed by a gang of thugs who then steal some important documents. A women (being called two different names) then goes about getting the documents back.

I found the original film to be a mildly entertaining movie but this sequel is pretty darn bad. The biggest problem with the movie is the fact that it never really makes too much sense and more times than not scene just happen and you sit there wondering what they have to do with the movie. The film clocks in at 90-minutes and it honestly feels two or three times longer than that. The performances are pretty bad, the score worst and there's some pretty bad editing here.

The entire film has a very cheap look and feel but I must admit that I give Bryan credit for this. The film was apparently shot in the late 80's but it really does seem as if it was shot at the same time as the first movie. There's some mild violence thrown in as well as a lot of nudity, which helps the exploitation side of things but in the end this is a pretty bad movie.
