Siskel & Ebert Holiday Gift Guide (1991)

This here was the fifth Holiday Gift Guide that film critics Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel did and in all honesty it was one of their best. We get a lot of recommendations ranging from a remote that will help set the recorder on your VCR to the critics playing a tennis game on the Super Nintendo. Also on hand are countless movie recommendations including some of the critics favorite films but they also recommend some movies you might not expect them to like BLOOD OF DRACULA and HOW TO MAKE A MONSTER among some others. There's also a nice sequence where Ebert interviews Danny DeVito who discusses his love of laserdisc and he tries to explain why widescreen is so important. Overall this was a really fun special that had a lot of great and funny moments including Ebert's huge laugh when he finally scores on Siskel during the tennis match.
