"The Hand of Now" is a a 15-minute live action short film from the United States. This one was released back in 2013 by director Annie Lukowski and writer Dan Stroncak. I will not list the actors, you can check these in the cast list, but I do not know any of them. The title of the film already gives away that this is the story of a palm reader doing his profession on a young woman, while her husband jealously watches. But that's just the beginning. A whole lot more happens and we find about connections we really did not expect. And then, it becomes a murder movie even. I think this was fairly ambitious, but looking at how much they packed into this quarter of an hour it just stopped feeling realistic at some point. Too many plot twists to make it an authentic short film. Apart from that, I am baffled by the film's rating here on IMDb. Is this really about as good as the likes of "The Godfather"? Decide for yourself, or don't I myself say no and give it a thumbs-down. Not recommended.
