We Gotta Shoot This! (2016)
*** 1/2 (out of 4)
This twenty-four minute interview with cinematographer James A. Contner has him talking about his work on the 1981 thriller NIGHTHAWKS with Sylvester Stallone. This is certainly a highly entertaining interview because the cinematographer gets to talk openly about several fascinating subjects including the controversy surrounding the original director being fired. He also talks about Stallone becoming jealous that the film was becoming a Rutger Hauer movie and this here led to more problems. Best of all is Contner talking about an actual fight he got into with Stallone and how bodyguards had to jump in! There's a lot of gossip here but it's a lot of fun and there's no question that this is one of the more entertaining featurettes that you're going to watch. It's not all controversy that is discussed as Contner also talks about some of the dangerous stunts including all the work that went into the finale.
