Hursit (2015)
10/10
Cute movie

I liked the idea of this movie and the way it deals with discrimination and intolerance. The main character Hursit is just a boy, but he is much smarter than the adults who are filled with hate and antagonism toward different ethnicities or religions. Hursit, which means Sun, "enlightens" his friends and everyone around him, with tolerance by being a good young man who got rid of discrimination and prejudices. Because in the end it all comes down are you a good person or a bad one, and not in which God you believe or are you Syrian, or Turkish.

I also must mention the acting in the movie which is surprisingly good for a short film. The boy who acts as Hursit is really talented and gave a wonderful performance. Mutlucan Kahveci did an outstanding work and his character is both believable and very likable. Director chose some awesome scenes from Cappadocia for his shots and I have enjoyed watching that incredible ambiance on the screen. The plot of the movie is not too complex but it carries a very important message and I recommend this little cute movie to everybody!
