This is a funny Hong Kong crime comedy about mismatched police detectives Yau (Anthony Chan) and Yue (Sandra Ng), who were assigned to work undercover as a live-in couple to track down a serial killer accused of murdering adulterers. In the meantime, Yau is coping with runaway girlfriend and Yue is losing her grip on her boyfriend.
It is a well-directed and well-paced movie with good humor, courtesy of the hilarious friction but great chemistry between Yau and Yue. It is entertaining seeing the two spar and, and the same time, you will find double the entertainment as the suspense in finding the killer creeps up on you as the movie goes on.
The cast did a job well done in their respectful roles; it includes cameo appearances by some Hong Kong veterans including Woo Fung, Tam Sin Hung, Kenneth Tsang, Alfred Cheung, Jamie Luk and Ha Ping.
It's a great Hong Kong comedy that combines humor (versus nonsensical nonsense), drama and suspense. Could have used a little more action, but an entertaining movie nonetheless.
