This children's film has all the usual elements and even is a bit like a British panto with a bit of Tron thrown in too. It's an enjoyable romp carried by Matthew Kelly, who was quite popular at the time on U.K. TV but an all-star cast also shines with veteran comedian Eric Sykes, Windsor Davies and comedians Josephine Tewson and Anna Dawson plus former action hero Gareth Hunt. Lynsey De Paul makes a surprise appearance and also wrote, played, arranged and produced the music. Although it probably would seem quite dated now, at the time it must have gone down well, being one of those films that children and adults can watch together.
