Review of Dhanam

Dhanam (1991)
10/10

A masterpiece from the director-writer duo of Sibi Malayil & A.K.Lohithadas.

Mohanlal, who was at the peak of his career then, gave another majestic performance. Murali essaying the role of his best friend was brilliant too. Thilakan & Nedumudi Venu, arguably the two best character actors in Malayalam, rounded up the star studded cast.

A philosophical take on how money runs our lives and how man goes all out in search of fortune and how they're inexplicably intertwined with loss of peace and serenity.

A wonderful script and the way the actors pulled off a great job enacting it, produced an all-time classic of Malayalam cinema.
