Taraneh Alidoosti, Mahtab Keramati, and Bahram Radan in Doubt (2009)

Review by rasoulsharif

Doubt

7/10

Good combination of classical play with modern elements!!!

The story of the movie was a little bit strange for me, because a few years ago the same thing happened to me not with Hamlet, but with "Crime and Punishment", so could feel an interconnection between the story and me. In my opinion, leading actors were great, in a way that you can see the feeling of DOUBT (Tardid, translation of the name of the movie in original language) in the eyes of Siyavash, but about the supporting roles, the director had far better choices. Selection of locations was in accordance with the atmosphere of the film, and sound track could make the audience feel like being with actors. Finally, I believe that although there were some gaps and illogical happenings like interference of police at the end, but this picture was a CREATIVE COPY of one of the most outstanding classical plays, and I worth watching.
