Saw this interesting short at the Golden Door International Film Festival a few weeks ago, and while it certainly stands on its own - I see that it's won 2 awards at another festival, and picked up 2 at the Golden Door - Director/lead actor Federico Castelluccio mentioned he was going to make it into a feature.
Thought the idea of a banker who could memorize numbers easily was an interesting one, and I can see how that would be very useful to the mob.
It was a period piece, set in the seventies, and the surroundings and music help take you back to that time period. What a cast: Castelluccio, the great Paul Sorvino, Tony LoBianco and Arthur Nascerella, Castelluccio's Sopranos cast-mate.
Really enjoyed this and would highly recommend it, if you can get a chance to see it somewhere. Otherwise, you will have to sit tight and wait for the feature. However, I think it would be great to see the short first, before viewing the feature when it comes out.
Again, the short stands on its own merit.
