Kun on tunteet (1954) is a Finnish movie directed by Erik Blomberg. It's based on some of the short stories by Maria Jotuni (1880-1943).I read some of them before I saw the movie, and I'm reading now the rest of them. There is a great line of actors in this movie.Maija Karhi plays Piika Viia.Tarmo Manni is Joosua.Aku Korhonen portrays Pekka.Rauha Rentola is Happy-Heliina.Rakel Laakso plays the part of Market Seller.Sasu Haapanen is Market Seller Eriksson.Kaisu Leppänen is Madam Röhelin.Eeva-Kaarina Volanen is her customer.Pentti Viljanen is shoemaker Lettunen while Henny Valjus plays his wife.He is more interested in Hulta, who is played by Mirjami Kuosmanen.Emmi Jurkka plays Hilda Husso.Rauni Luoma is Josefina.Senni Nieminen plays Mrs. Myyri.I enjoyed watching this.It captures the atmosphere of the old Finland brilliantly. To watch those people of the little town (it was shot in Porvoo) makes me wanna go there. It's most enjoyable to watch Aku Korhonen as Pekka talking to Manni's Joosua while traveling by the sled drawn by his horse. The whole love story portrayed between Joosua and Viia is quite funny actually. He drags her to the ring shop.Hilda Husso's phone conversation is quite a treat.I recommend you this movie, which takes you to Finland that doesn't exist anymore.
