Object Z (1965)
6/10
Old, low budget but still OK
4 May 2008
I rated this a six because there's no five and a half. The show is right in the middle of the road. Not great, not horrible. It shows its age. It's in black and white. There are no special effects on the first episode. There was also precious little in the way of a cast. The title music was atonal 1960's stuff that gave me a bit of a headache but that passed.

The plot is basic. Something is coming towards Earth. It's big enough to destroy the planet and it's going to be here soon. Astronomers detect it. Then the government takes over.

Given that it's of the same era as Twilight Zone, it's not that bad. The writing is OK. The acting isn't great but this is obviously a low budget show with stock clips. For those used to more in the way of glitz, it may just seem like a very old period piece of little interest. But then you might enjoy it.
