Tasten in het duister (1996)

Review by maria-pas

Tasten in het duister

9/10

Finally on DVD

This feature film (and mini series) is the story of a daughters' thrilling search for her father. It is also a young woman's quest for the main reason for her existence. As a press photographer Nora always keeps her camera between herself and the world. She is a happy person who has never come across any real tragedy. And because of that she's never been confronted with the very essentials of life either. She now needs her father to rewrite her own history.

I read at a film website that this film is finally showing on DVD. I remember when it was shown on television and it really touched me. The daughter's detective like search for her father and her own past was so intriguing. Perfect cast and very good acting. Cynthia Abma is beautiful and acts great. Her scenes with Michael van Buuren are also very funny... but also sometimes very emotional. I cried several times during this film. I can't wait to see it again.
