6/10
very violent
4 September 2006
ej's kung-fu capsule review for films of the chop-socky old-school - 1. basic plot type - fighting the Japanese; damsel in distress; Bruce lee imitator.

2. plot construction - poor.

3. dramatic - tries hard and fails.

4. funny - unintentionally, especially the opening sequence.

5. dialog - miserably cliché.

6. cast performance - over-the-top histrionics.

7. crew performance - competent at best.

8. amount of fighting - lots.

9. quality of fighting - very intense; over-use of fast-motion and slow-motion techniques.

10. special any cast or crew notes - Korean; has the bigger Korean stars of the genre 11. big positive - entertaining most of the time.

12. big negative - very violent, even for this genre; 2 or 3 sequences are very disturbing.

bottom-line - who should see this movie - genre completist; too violent and too silly for a general audience.
