This film has no special effects at all, yet it features a flying saucer (with scantily clad, silly, blonde female aliens), a 20-meter-high blob of bechamel and eggplant devastating Athens, and as many film and comic book citations as you can find. The obvious ones range from vintage science fiction of the '50s to Almodóvar... Some (universally understandable) hinting at scandals involving Greek politicians is also there.
Corpses lie in the streets of Athens, sprayed with the killer liquid spewed out by the giant mousaka. They look like your average college roommate when asked to pose for the first test shot with your new camera. Only, the level of that first shot is usually higher, but it is all part of the fun. The main female role is played by a man... or is it the main transvestite role played by a transvestite? you get the idea.
