Keisuke is a middle aged man who lives with his adult daughter, Mai. They haves never really got over the death of his wife, Takae, ten years previously. Then one day Marika Shiraishi, an elementary school pupil, arrives at his door claiming to be the reincarnation of Takae! Understandably they find this hard to believe but soon accept it. How will her arrival change their lives and how will Marika's mother react when she finds out?!
The central premise could so easily lead to one of those shows that head firmly into inappropriate territory... thankfully this is nothing like that. We get a tender story where the return of Takae as a young girl helps her husband and daughter finally get over the loss as well as improve Marika's relationship with her mother. The animation and character designs are both good. I suspect that unlike most shows that are watched and soon forgotten this one will stick with the viewer. Overall I'd certainly recommend this to anime fans looking for something gentle and a little different from the vast majority of shows.
