The holidays, family, parties, drinking, sex, seduction, deceit, drugs, humor, gunfire, knives fights, beatings, lots of murder and a few explosions. What more could you ask for in a Christmas show? I haven't seen the likes of such a Christmas show since The Lion in Winter. It really demonstrates the true spirit of the season and the meaning of family. Certainly a great transition to more mature roles for Knightley. After Anna Karinina, her first foray into more age appropriate material, I think this is good start. It has action, depth, and shows off Knightley's talents better than a lot of the corset dramas she's known for. I highly recommend it.
