Loved seeing the "way it was."
18 October 2000
ATTENTION TO THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED IN PRESERVING SOME SOUTHERNLY-MOST HABITAT(S) OR AT LEAST KNOWING MORE ABOUT IT:

I feel "Yesterday's Everglades" represents, through a wonderful reenactment, the "way it was."

Even Floridians probably are unaware of the tremendous hardships back in that era and area as well. For those people it was, as Totch put it, a way of life. And such a way of life it was. Everyone should experience it, if not for real, than through Totch's eyes, and this documentary allows such an experience. I understand it is required viewing for all 4th grade Florida public school students. Wonderful! I think it's a must see for all.

Not only should one be made aware of the Everglades' history but be attuned to its current state of affairs, and that could be a rude awakening for many, as the Everglades are in danger of becoming extinct?

Viewer beware.

Sincerely, an Everglade (and Totch Brown) fan of the upmost highest
