This film has a lot to offer. Great acting, great story, slow but intense dramatical feel, good humor which makes it pleasant and great fun to watch. Great film of this Norwegian debut-director Bent Hamer!
19 years later: The above was written just after I saw the film on a cinema in Oslo, Norway. Sine then, Bent Hamer has released several important Norwegian films. All are Based around great storytelling, quirky humor, and lonesome protagonists. Going to one of Bent Hamer's films is one of the best treats you can Give yourself as a film enthusiast. I simply look so much forward to every new film from Hamer, that I would recommend any of his films to anybody. Seek them out!
