The short film is based on a years long parody rap group called Citizen Wrappa. It was created in late 1996 as a spoof of popular rappers of the time. Several short films were made in the late 90s, but all were lost over time. Craig M Rosenthal and Mason Adam Lucas decided to get together and film a new movie, re-enacting many segments from the original short films.
