Absolutely loved this film. There are not that many movies made about motorcycle racing (actually don't know any of them) but this one really cuts to the essence of being a motorcycle racer.
Tony Heino is the director and lead actor of the film and he does a fantastic job with this one. I can imagine how difficult it is to be behind the camera and in front of it at the same time. Not an easy task and I can't think of other directors who could do what he did.
The movie tells a story about Mike, who gets in trouble with the law after a highspeed chase. Through a couple twists and turns, he ends up getting a chance to ride at a tryout event. Mike is like a talent who never had an opportunity to show his skills. Kind of an underdog story.
It would be fun to see more action on the race track, but then again I believe this is what makes the movie work.
Often these kind of films are just filled with meaningless action cuts of showing inside the engine how sparks fly and tires are skidding. I feel like this is enough to understand how the rider must feel like and that's what caught my attention.
Best racing movie I've seen in a long time. If you like Ford v Ferrari and Le Mans, then go check this one out.
