10:44 - Hora da Morte

Writing, acting, cinematography, everything about this movie is right down mediocre lane, thus I gave it a 5. I've certainly seen worse but this is something you'd expect to watch on late night TV and be mildly entertained until it's time to fall asleep.

Not only is the plot very predictable but it's also uninteresting enough that I could barely be bothered to make the predictions. The character dynamics are mostly ridiculous, especially the romance which has almost zero chemistry, and the father-son detectives.

Kathleen Robertson is nice to look at but she doesn't really have the presence or emotive power to carry a film as she was tasked to do here, or at least not with the material she's working with. But at least she's competent while many of the other actors are worse and I could see them acting.

Anyway if you like mild detective procedurals with predictable plot, cliche dialogue and strained reality of actions, then this one is for you.
