I watched the first few episodes hoping this would get better. Sadly, it did not. I'm not too familiar with the comic but if they are as heavy-handed as this was then I won't be picking them up anytime soon.
The concept is a good one and the story is intriguing. It's just that it seems to be lost with the 10+ year-old computer animation and the lesson that needs to be learned with almost every scene change. I'm not joking here. It would be more subtle to beat you over the head with it..
Another missed opportunity were the jokes that just seemed to fall flat. Having the big guy is a tested formula for comic relief, but timing them better along with better delivery will help greatly.
Perhaps this was a trial effort and if so, great. These are not huge problems. This has the potential to be a great superhero franchise. All in all, it is a step in the right direction. It's neat having heroes with a different type of origin and not the run-of- the-mill alien/industrial accident. I hope to see a more polished version in the near future.
