As usual, Kendo talks a better game (whether it be on pompous DVD liner notes or in the inevitable BTS short subject) than his camera and editing console deliver. As one of his endless series of glossy videos for daring! Media, "Fashion" displays precious few fashion statements, but rather reverts to the fetish content that made his name before his daring! career phase.
The femme casting saves the day, with talented beauties ranging from big-names Donna Bell and Jasmine Webb to personal favorites like Cherry Stone and tattooed Havana Sin doing their XXX thing. Mr. K wastes an opportunity by featuring Cherry in the final vignette but not having her display her nonpareil deep-throat technique, an oversight of immense proportions.
True to his boasting, this is more colorful than the usual Kendo palette, but where are the fashions? Whether it be dresses, costumes, foundation garments or even shoes & accessories, precious little that could be construed as stemming from the fashion industry gets in the way of naked ladies sucking and f*cking.
I have to conclude that Mr. K has a weird sense of subtlety, as in another of his themed-videos entitled Stilettos, in which the shoes were not adored, liked and massaged in tight closeups but rather appeared almost as an afterthought from time to time, discarded in the corner of the frame, lonely and abandoned. Coming from a fetish specialist like Kendo, how cryptic is that?
Beyond the master's poor cropping of image, and aloof, distant lack of emotion between the lovers, "Fashion" is salvageable due to the beauty of both Jasmine and Cherry, "ethnic" talent (to use the Industry's jargon) that makes it all worthwhile. I can't give Kendo any credit for their contribution -if anything his function is to try and undermine it.
